The conversation surrounding the recent decommitments for the 2021 Texas football recruiting class really heated up when head coach Tom Herman lost the pledge of three-star Atascocita tight end Landen King. Within the last four months alone, Texas has already lost out on two tight end commitments in their 2021 recruiting class.
Texas hasn’t lost all that much throughout the tenure of Herman on the Forty Acres in the way of decommitments. But whenever there is major coaching staff turnover, a lot of shaky results on the recruiting trail can follow. That’s what Texas got for a bit of time when Texas was turning over so much of their coaching staff at the conclusion of the 2019 regular season.
