Last weekend, the 2022 Texas football recruiting class got a huge duo of commits to add to the mix, one on each side of the ball. Texas landed commitments from both the elite five-star Junipero Serra pro-style quarterback Maalik Murphy and three-star Arlington-Martin inside linebacker Trevell Johnson on the afternoon/evening of Feb. 13.
Newly hired head coach Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns landed the commitments from the California native Murphy and Texas native Johnson in a matter of just a few hours for the 2022 recruiting class.
