The NCAA Transfer Portal continues to emerge as a huge looming storyline for the Texas football program and for the college football landscape in general. Texas lost yet another player to the transfer portal on Oct. 31 with third-year former three-star recruit and wide receiver Jordan Pouncey having his intentions released that he will be leaving the program.
Wide receiver depth looked very strong for Texas entering spring camp last offseason. But that wide receiver depth started to dissapate when head Texas football coach Tom Herman elected to move former five-star wide receiver recruit Jordan Whittington to running back and once fellow five-star recruit Bru McCoy went back to the USC Trojans football program.
