National Signing Day 2020 was a big one for the 2020 Texas football recruiting class. Feb. 5 was mostly nice to Texas head coach Tom Herman who saw his most recent signing class pick up two additional commits in the same day. Texas had a big National Signing Day, more so than they did for the last two recruiting cycles.
Most of National Signing Day 2019 was about retention for Texas, and 2020 was about adding to a recruiting class that did need help at a few positions. Texas was able to bolster the defensive line by landing the highly touted four-star Cedar Creek strong-side defensive end Alfred Collins.
