After escaping Lubbock with an improbable 63-56 comeback win over the Texas Tech Red Raiders in overtime on Saturday evening, the Texas Longhorns suffered a slight regression in the updated AP Top 25 Poll, sliding one spot from No. 8 to No. 9.
Texas remains ranked among the top 10 in the Amway Coaches Poll, as well, holding true at No. 9.
Unsurprisingly, Texas is now the top-ranked team in the Big 12, ahead of No. 17 Oklahoma State and No. 18 Oklahoma. Kansas State (1-1) and Baylor (1-0) are each receiving votes, as well.
