AUSTIN -- Sam Ehlinger is on the mend again, and Texas coach Tom Herman provided a brief update on his starting quarterback during Monday morning's Big 12 teleconference call with the media.
Ehlinger, who suffered an AC contusion in his throwing shoulder during Texas' 24-10 home win over Iowa State on Saturday night, underwent an MRI on Sunday. Herman confirmed there was no major damage in Ehlinger's shoulder and that it was mere "re-aggravation."
"No broken bones. No separation. No ridiculous amount of damage," Herman said. "But it's angry. It's upset. The joint, the shoulder is inflamed.
