One of the most difficult losses to swallow comfort the Texas basketball program, in a season full of them, was the Jan. 14 two-point road defeat at the hands of the Kansas Jayhawks. That loss to the Jayhawks at Allen Fieldhouse moved the record for Texas basketball to 10-7 (2-3 Big 12) on the season. It was also the third loss in a row for Texas basketball after starting out Big 12 play 2-0.
Why this loss to Kansas was so difficult to swallow was that it followed a similar narrative to at least four or five of the others this season.
