In one of the most convincing victories of the season for the Texas basketball program, the Colorado Buffaloes were completely humiliated for a stretch of time in the NIT Quarterfinals on March 27 at the Frank Erwin Events Center. At least in the first half, Texas basketball completely commanded the pace of play.
Some amount of the disappointment this Texas basketball fan base experienced during the regular season and in the Big 12 Tournament is being relieved with the way this team is playing in the NIT. Although, even winning the NIT is worse in the minds of some college hoops fans than making it into the NCAA Tournament and losing in a play-in game.
