New head coach Chris Beard and the Texas basketball program continued to light the college hoops landscape on fire this weekend. The Texas men’s hoops program got the 2022 recruiting class off and running on the afternoon of July 17, landing a commitment from the elite five-star iSchool Entrepreneurial Academy point guard Arterio Morris.
But what really did it in for Beard and the Longhorns over the weekend was getting a commitment out of the NCAA Transfer Portal from the former standout junior Minnesota Golden Gophers and Pitt Panthers point guard Marcus Carr.
