For the third consecutive year, Texas baseball and head coach David Pierce are making an appearance in regionals. Texas was selected to the Coral Gables Regional, hosted by the No. 9 Miami Hurricanes, as the two-seed.
Pierce and the Longhorns head into the Coral Gables Regional with a record of 38-20 (15-9 Big 12) following two straight losses in the Big 12 Baseball Championship last week. A few days ago, Texas’ 0-2 showing in the Big 12 Tournament resulted in an early exit after the Longhorns claimed a share of the Big 12 regular season title with the Oklahoma State Cowboys and West Virginia Mountaineers.
