About as good of a start to the regular season as the fans could hope for is what the Texas baseball program achieved through the first four games. Texas hit the road to take on the Rice Owls in their regular season opener. Rice was also the first weekend series for Texas. A series sweep of Rice helped to restore some confidence in what head coach David Pierce could do with this ball club.
On Feb. 18, the Texas Longhorns baseball program turned their attention to taking on the UTSA Roadrunners in their home opener this year at Disch-Falk Field.
