Meeting with the media on Tuesday for the first time since spring practice started two weeks ago, Texas Longhorns head coach Steve Sarkisian provided injury updates after the seventh practice.
Given the overall inexperience at the tight end position because Gunnar Helm and Juan Davis exhausted their eligibility, the collarbone injury sustained by redshirt freshman Jordan Washington is one of the most significant developments of spring practice for the Horns.
“Jordan was off to a good start. Unfortunately, had a collarbone issue — bones take what they take to heal, it’s not a ligament issue or anything like that, so it’s going to take a minute,” Sarkisian said.
