Staying home: former Longhorns' offensive lineman Connor Williams selected by Cowboys in second round

Connor Williams will stay put in the DFW area after being selected by the Cowboys with the 50th pick in the NFL Draft on Friday night in Arlington. Williams is the first offensive lineman taken from Texas since Tony Hills in 2008.

Williams earned unanimous All-American honors as a sophomore in 2016. He missed seven contests last season after suffering a torn Meniscus in September against USC.

Williams' joins an offensive line heralded as one of the best in football. He grew up in Coppell, a half hour from the Cowboys' stadium.
