New York – Texas Men's Tennis senior Eliot Spizzirri advanced to the third round of U.S. Open Qualifying by downing ATP No. 122 Aleksandar Kovacevic, 6-4, 6-4 on Friday in New York.
With the win, Spizzirri advances to third round of qualifying for the first time and will now square off with ATP No. 155 Emilio Nava on Saturday with the time and court to be determined later.
It marks the third U.S. Open qualifying victory of Spizzirri's career after he took his opening matches both this year and in 2021.
