New York – Men's Tennis sophomore Eliot Spizzirri advance to the second round of U.S. Open Qualifying by rallying for an impressive, 5-7, 7-6 (0), 6-3 win over Alejandro Tabilo of Chile on Wednesday. Tabilo is currently No. 163 in the ATP rankings.
The win moves Spizzirri on to face Henri Laaksonen of Switzerland, who is No. 130 in the ATP rankings and seeded No. 14 in the qualifying rounds.
In the opening set, Tabilo served first and each player held in their first service game.
