HOUSTON, Texas – On Friday, the Top Drawer Soccer publication described Lexi Missimo's 2023 season as "one of the best individual seasons in NCAA history." Two days later, she validated the comment throughout Texas' 6-1 win at Houston as the junior midfielder recorded her fifth brace and third two-assist performance on the season.
Missimo, who entered Sunday afternoon's match tied for the program's single-season goals record with 17, became the first student-athlete in program history to score 18 goals in a single season when she pushed the Longhorns' lead to 2-0 less than six minutes into the match.
