Longhorns join regular season conference champion Vanderbilt as lone two programs with multiple selections on first team
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. — The University of Texas Soccer Team had three players garner All-SEC distinction, the league office announced Thursday morning.
Ava McDonald and Amalia Villarreal both landed on the first team, while Caroline Swann earned a spot on the All-Freshman team.
The Longhorns are one of just two programs with multiple selections on the 13-player first team, alongside regular season conference champion Vanderbilt.
In SEC action, McDonald finished third in assists (3) and shots (44), fourth in shots on goal (19) and tied for 10th in goals (3) and points (9).
