As Texas fell toward the dreaded NCAA tournament bubble this week, coach Shaka Smart found consolation in the fact his players had been here before.
"We actually have some experience with this being in a similar situation last year," Smart said. "The way we handled it last year is trying to do the absolute best on the current game but also understanding the reality for our players is you're going to have some awareness of all the projections and talk about the NCAA tournament."
From the standpoint of being familiar with pressure, that's good.
From gauging progress in the program, probably not.
