IRVING, Texas – Texas senior offensive lineman Zach Shackelford was named a semifinalist for the 2019 William V. Campbell Trophy presented by Mazda, the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame (NFF) has announced. The Campbell Trophy honors college football's best scholar-athlete.
Shackelford, a native of Belton, Texas, was also named a Senior CLASS Award candidate earlier this week. Before the season, he was named to the Rimington Trophy and Outland Trophy watch lists.
Shackelford is one of Texas' five captains in 2019. He was named first-team Al-Big 12 by the Associated Press and second team by the league's coaches last season.
