Five-star basketball recruit Tyrese Maxey of South Garland announced on Twitter on Thursday that the final five colleges he is considering are Kentucky, Michigan State, Texas, Michigan and Oklahoma State.
Maxey plans to announce his commitment at 4 p.m. next Wednesday. He is ranked as the second-best point guard in the nation in the Class of 2019 by 247Sports.com.
Many believe that Kentucky is the front-runner to land the 6-3 Maxey, and 247Sports.com predicts there is a 92 percent chance he will pick Kentucky. The big question is when will he start college?
USA Today reported last month that Maxey is considering reclassifying from the Class of 2019 to 2018, which would end his high school career and allow him to start college a year earlier.
