SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Junior Sophia Schubert fired a second-round 72 to lead No. 23 Texas Women's Golf to a first-place finish after two rounds at the Big 12 Championship.
Schubert's 72 followed a first-round 71 to sit 1-under par, leading the field by two strokes.
Schubert made a birdie on hole one's par-4 to start the day 1-under, before making another birdie on hole three's par-4. She made pars on 4 and 5 before another birdie on hole 6's par-4. She made a bogey on the ninth hole to make the turn at 2-under and continued with seven pars on the back nine to finish the day at even par.
