In one of Texas HC Steve Sarkisian's recent media pressers, he addressed Will Muschamp and some of the topics regarding the hire after unexpectedly letting Pete Kwiatkowski go last week.
Two main things were unveiled during the press conference, most importantly the "why" behind it.
Steve Sarkisian was very honest and candid about it, and the way he described it was perfectly relatable:
"I feel very comfortable with Will being the head coach of that defense. That frees me up a little bit more time from an offensive perspective. Instead of robbing Peter to pay Paul, I'm able to let him go do his thing on defense and really be a great leader over there and head coach over there, which allows me to get back to doing the things that I believe that I'm really good at.
