The Dodd Trophy is one of the nation’s most coveted coaching honors.
ATLANTA – Texas Football head coach Steve Sarkisian was named to the Dodd Trophy Midseason Watch List, the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Foundation and Peach Bowl, Inc. announced on Wednesday. The watch list includes 20 coaches representing six conferences and five former winners.
Sarkisian has led the Longhorns to a 5-2 record this season, including wins in each of the last three games. That streak includes a 49-0 victory over Oklahoma in the Red River Showdown, the Longhorns' largest victory over the Sooners in the rivalry's history and UT's first shutout of OU since 1965.
