Report: Texas working to schedule home-and-home series against Florida

Over the next decade, the Texas Longhorns will play marquee non-conference opponents like the LSU Tigers, Alabama Crimson Tide, Ohio State Buckeyes, Michigan Wolverines, and Georgia Bulldogs.

Consistent with the desire to schedule one such opponent every season, athletics director Chris Del Conte is currently negotiating with the Florida Gators to add a home-and-home series to the schedule in 2030 and 2031, according to a report from Kirk Bohls of the Austin American-Statesman.

Del Conte refused to confirm the report, unsurprisingly, but that timeline does fit the current non-conference schedule, as the home-and-home series with Georgia, the final series currently scheduled, will end in 2029 with a game in Athens.
