On Saturday afternoon, the Texas Longhorns took yet another major step towards national prominence with a 48-45 win over the Oklahoma Sooners in the Red River Showdown.
As a result, Texas has now moved up in the national rankings to the No. 9 spot, which is territory the Horns haven’t been familiar with since 2010. With Tom Herman and company taking care of business on the field, it’s only going to create more momentum on the recruiting trail.
