Recruiting report card: Texas' 2018 class shows plenty of bright spots and is loaded with potential

With the early signing period upon us, we looked back at the Longhorns' last four recruiting classes. Here's a look back at the 2018 class.

Best player in the class

Caden Sterns, S: The Cibolo Steele product started every game of his freshman season and tallied four interceptions, which tied for second in the Big 12. Oh, and Sterns was also named the Big 12 Defensive Freshman of the Year.

Most surprising player in the class

Keaontay Ingram, RB: Ingram quickly worked his way to the top in a crowded running back room and was a primary ball carrier for Texas this season along with graduate transfer Tre Watson.
