Parker Coody takes individual title at Southern Highlands

LAS VEGAS, Nev. – The No. 4 Texas men's golf finished the 2020 Southern Highlands Collegiate on Tuesday afternoon as the second-place team finisher and saw sophomore Parker Coody earn his first collegiate individual victory at the Southern Highlands Golf Club.

The team shot 284 on the final day of action, falling to first place USC by just two strokes. The Longhorns finished at 1-under.

Sophomore Parker Coody took home the individual title in come-back fashion as Coody put together a 5-under performance to come back on USC's Yuxin Lin, tying him at -8, and then over coming him in a sudden death play-off to earn a spot at the PGA Tour's annual Las Vegas event, the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open, hosted by nearby TPC at Summerlin.
