AUSTIN, Texas – No. 9 Texas Baseball knocked off Air Force, 11-3, in the NCAA Austin Regional opener on Friday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. The Longhorns (43-19) advance to the winner's bracket and will face either Louisiana Tech or Dallas Baptist on Saturday at 6 p.m.
Pete Hansen pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed three runs on eight hits. He struck out five batters and improved to 11-1 on the season.
Skyler Messinger had a huge day at the plate, going 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored. Murphy Stehly went 3-for-5 with a double and three runs scored.
