Austin, Texas – The No. 8 Texas Men's Tennis team took a thrilling 5-2 victory over No. 6 North Carolina at the Weller Indoor Tennis Center on Saturday, moving the Longhorns to 7-0 on the season. It was Texas' third straight win over the Tar Heels after claiming 4-3 victories in 2018 in Chapel Hill and in 2015 at Weller.
In a match that came down to the wire, the top five singles matches all went to a third set as freshman No. 103 Chih Chi Huang clinched the winning point in a third-set tiebreaker against Blaine Boyden (6-4, 4-6, 7-6 [5]) in fifth singles.
