ARLINGTON, Texas – No. 8 Texas Baseball beat Oklahoma, 7-1, to open the series on Friday night at Globe Life Field. The Longhorns improved to 20-8 overall and 2-2 in Big 12 Conference play.
Pete Hansen was outstanding, pitching eight innings and allowing just one run on two hits and striking out 12 batters. He improved to 5-0 on the season with the win.
Skyler Messinger went 4-for-4 with a double, one RBI and one run scored, while Silas Ardoin was 2-for-2 with a triple, one RBI and two runs scored.
