KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The No. 7/9 Texas Women's Basketball Team took down Kansas State 72-65 Friday evening in the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship Quarterfinals inside Municipal Auditorium.
With the win, the No.3-seeded Longhorns run their win streak to nine games and secure a spot on in Saturday's semifinal round where they'll meet up with No.2-seeded and No.10/7-ranked Iowa State. Tip is scheduled for 2 p.m. CT and will air on Big 12 Now on ESPN+.
Both teams traded blows for much of the first half and the Longhorns took a five-point (32-27) lead into the locker room.
