AUSTIN, Texas – A weekend that saw No. 7/9 Texas softball (27-3) sweep Texas Tech to open league play has paid dividends for the Longhorns as sophomore Shea O'Leary has been named the Big 12 Conference Pitcher of the Week for April 6.
This marks O'Leary's third career weekly league accolade after previous nods back on March 3, 2020, and March 19, 2019 (co-winner).
The 6-2 right hander was dominant from the circle for the Longhorns during last weekend's Big 12-opening home sweep of Texas Tech, going 2-0 with a 0.00 ERA, two complete games, a solo shutout and 18 strikeouts over 14.
