The No. 6 Texas Longhorns are headed back clinching their spot in the Women’s College World Series after a high-stakes showdown fending off a late No. 11 Clemson Tiger rally to win Game 3 of the NCAA Super Regional, 6–5.

After both teams saw a scoreless first inning, Texas ignited their offense in the second. Graduate-first baseman Joley Mitchell’s (.385 BA & 14 HR) walk and sophomore-left fielder Katie Stewart’s (.370 BA & 15 HR) double set the stage, and junior-shortstop Leighann Goode (.299 BA & .533 SLG %) delivered the first blow, ripping a two-run RBI double down the third-base line to put the Longhorns ahead 2-0.
