ORLANDO, Florida — The Texas women's basketball team outscored UCF 23-4 in the second quarter and never trailed in the game as they ran away from the Knights, 87-56 on Saturday.
Madison Booker led Texas with 22 points and added five assists. Shaylee Gonzales played a complete game with 13 points, six assists, five rebounds and two steals. Gonzales drew three offensive fouls on UCF in the game. Shay Holle played over 37 minutes and scored 14 points. Taylor Jones scored 15 points and shot 5-of-6 from the field and DeYona Gaston shot 6-of-6 from the field with 12 points.
