AUSTIN, Texas — Junior Tre Mitchell posted a game-high 16 points, and senior Timmy Allen added 15 points, five boards and three steals to pace No. 5/5 Texas to a 96-33 victory against Texas Lutheran in an exhibition contest on Monday night at the Frank Erwin Center. The game was a "Unite the Family" action item to honor and salute former Longhorn star Mike Wacker, the head coach at Texas Lutheran who played at Texas from 1980-85.
Mitchell converted 7-of-11 field goals in 15 minutes, while Allen hit 6-of-7 field goals and 3-of-3 free throws in 17 minutes of action.
