SAN DIEGO – No. 4 Texas Rowing opened the season winning three of four races at the San Diego Crew Classic on Saturday on the Fiesta Bay-Crown Point Shores of Mission Bay Park and advanced four boats to grand finals.
"Today was a terrific start to the season's racing," said Texas head coach Dave O'Neill. "After months of training it was great to get out and race 2000 meters against tough competition. This was only the first step, and there's a lot of room for improvement. All things considered, all four boats performed pretty well, and we're looking forward to the finals tomorrow.
