No. 3/4 Softball’s seventh-inning rally comes up one base short

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – Nearly two weeks after rallying in a best-of-three Super Regional against Clemson, The University of Texas softball program was in prime position to display to the world its Texas Fight, but Leighann Goode, representing the game-tying run, was stranded at third base as the Longhorns dropped Thursday night's contest to Texas Tech, 4-3.

It took until the fifth inning for either team to break into the run column, but the Red Raiders were able to score a pair of two-out runs via bases-loaded hit by pitch and a wild pitch to take a 2-0 lead.
