AUSTIN, Texas – The only thing as sizzling as the 95-degree temperature at Red & Charline McCombs Field on Saturday afternoon was The University of Texas softball program's offense as the Longhorns hammered out 16 runs on 15 hits en route to earning a second consecutive five-inning victory after beating Michigan, 16-4. Eight of the nine Longhorns in the starting lineup was credited with at least one hit and scored at least one run on the afternoon with five driving in at least one run on the afternoon as well.
In the opening inning, Indiana Langford scored for Michigan following a single to left field by Lilly Vallimont.
