For the second time ever, two programs that made the College Football Playoffs will meet in the following regular season. It’s also the second all-time meeting between the No. 3 Texas Longhorns and the No. 9 Michigan Wolverines, 20 years after Dusty Mangum won the 2005 Rose Bowl with a last-second kick.
There are also long winning streaks on the line for the Wolverines and new head coach Sherrone Moore — a 16-game streak overall and a 23-game winning streak at the Big House in Ann Arbor.
Texas is favored to end those winning streaks — by 6.
