AUSTIN, Texas – No. 3 Baseball dropped the series opener to No. 11 Texas Tech by a score of 6-3 at UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Friday afternoon. The loss was the first series-opening defeat of the season for the Longhorns.
Trey Faltine and Mike Antico each led off innings with home runs, but the Longhorns were limited to five hits on the afternoon.
Texas Tech (29-10, 9-7) started the scoring with a solo home run to lead off the second.
Texas (34-10, 12-4) took the lead with a pair of runs in the third inning.
