NORMAN, Okla. — Right fielder Max Belyeu delivered a go-ahead three-run homer in the ninth to lift No. 3 Texas over Oklahoma, 7-4, as the Longhorns clinched the Southeastern Conference regular season title on Thursday night at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Texas (41-10, 21-7 SEC) is the first team to win the SEC in its first season since the league's inaugural campaign in 1933.
With the Longhorns and Sooners (32-18, 13-15 SEC) deadlocked at four runs apiece, Belyeu stepped to the plate with runners on the corners and no outs.
