NORMAN, Okla. — Left-hander Luke Harrison tossed six strong innings and the third-ranked Longhorns exploded for eight runs over the final three frames to notch a series-securing 9-1 victory over Oklahoma on Saturday afternoon at L. Dale Mitchell Park.
Harrison (5-1) faced just three batters over the minimum and struck out five, as Texas (42-11, 22-8 SEC) capped off its best regular season since 2010.
The redshirt junior's standout performance helped the Longhorns record their SEC-leading eighth series win in league play.
With Harrison holding the Sooners (33-19, 14-16 SEC) to only one run on two hits, Texas' offense came to life in the seventh.
