An already impressive Texas Longhorns 2021 class has added a pledge from yet another elite prospect, as Denton Ryan athlete Ja’Tavion Sanders announced his commitment to Tom Herman’s program on Saturday as the Horns took on the LSU Tigers.
Former Texas player Alex De La Torre, who coaches Sanders at Ryan, confirmed with Horns247 that Sanders committed on Saturday, though he hasn’t announced it himself on Twitter.
Director of Recruiting Bryan Carrington tweeted about a commitment earlier in the day, too.
A teammate of fellow four-star Texas athlete pledge Billy Bowman, Sanders chose Texas over more than 20 other offers, including Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, with the latter looming as the most notable competition to Texas.
