No. 24 Baseball falls to No. 7 Texas A&M

AUSTIN, Texas – No. 24 Texas Baseball dropped a midweek game to No. 7 Texas A&M, 9-2, in front of a sold-out crowd of 8,060 on Tuesday at UFCU Disch-Falk Field.

The Longhorns (7-5) will turn their attention to Big 12 Conference play this weekend, starting at No. 17 Texas Tech on Friday at 6:30 p.m.

Tanner Witt started and pitched 3 1/3 innings, allowing just two runs on a two-run home run in the first inning. He finished with three strikeouts and outside of the homer allowed just two hits.

Peyton Powell went 2-for-4 with one RBI, while Kimble Schuessler was 2-for-3 with one run scored.
