ASHEVILLE, N.C. — Junior guard Courtney Ramey converted a driving reverse layup with 20 seconds remaining to lead No. 19/22 Texas (2-0) to a 78-76 win against Davidson (1-1) in the quarterfinals of the Camping World Maui Invitational Monday afternoon at Harrah's Cherokee Center-Asheville. With the victory, the Longhorns advance to play Indiana (2-0) in Tuesday's semifinal round at 12:30 p.m. CT on ESPN.
Ramey paced six Longhorns in double-figure scoring with a team-high 14 points. Junior guard Andrew Jones added 13 points (5-10 FG), and sophomore forward Kai Jones scored all 13 of his points in the second half.
