AUSTIN, Texas – No. 19 Texas Baseball's Ivan Melendez has been named the Big 12 Co-Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Melendez set new Big 12 records with his fifth Player of the Week honor of the season and the sixth of his career. The junior infielder batted .412 with hits in all four games, driving a double, three homers and nine RBI.
Melendez's third homer of the week was his 28th of the season, which ties the Texas record.
