ARLINGTON, Texas – No. 19 Texas Baseball opened the Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship with a 4-0 shutout win over No. 9 Oklahoma State on Wednesday at Globe Life Field. The Longhorns (40-17) advance to face either TCU or Baylor on Thursday at 4 p.m.
The shutout by the Longhorns was their eighth of the season, tied for the third-most in the country.
Pete Hansen was outstanding, pitching 7 2/3 scoreless innings and allowing just three hits and two walks. He struck out 12 batters to match his season high for the third time.
