No. 15 Baseball drops wild game to Texas State

HOUSTON, Texas – No. 15 Texas Baseball lost a wild back-and-forth game to Texas State, 11-10, on Saturday in the Astros Foundation College Class at Minute Maid Park.

The Longhorns (7-3) will look to salvage the weekend against Vanderbilt on Sunday at 11 a.m.

Porter Brown hit a go-ahead home run in the bottom of the eighth, his first of the season, to give Texas a 10-9 lead. The Bobcats had an answer though, just as they did all game, hitting a two-out two-run game-winning homer in the top of the ninth.

Jack O'Dowd also hit his first homer of the season, a pinch-hit go ahead three-run shot in the seventh.
