Following midweek losses to the Incarnate Word Cardinals and the Texas A&M Aggies, the No. 14 Texas Longhorns are looking for a midweek win with the struggling Rice Owls coming to UFCU Disch-Falk Field on Tuesday evening.
At 14-20 and with a losing record in Conference USA, the Owls are coming off a home series loss to FIU. In the previous meeting this season between the two teams, Texas notched an 11-4 win at Reckling Park by scoring eight combined runs in the third and fourth innings before Donny Diaz, Cole Quintanilla, and Kamron Fields threw 4.2 scoreless innings.
