AUSTIN, Texas — Freshman forward Greg Brown recorded a career-high 18 points and three blocked shots to lead No. 13/12 Texas (5-1) to a 74-53 victory against Texas State (3-2) on Wednesday night at the Frank Erwin Center. Brown converted 7-of-14 field goals, including 3-of-7 from three-point range, in 22 minutes.
Junior guard Andrew Jones and junior guard Courtney Ramey each posted 11 points for the Longhorns. Senior forward Jericho Sims added eight points and a game-high nine rebounds.
Texas jumped out to a 12-3 advantage after a Kai Jones dunk at the 15:05 mark and never trailed in the game.
